| GCS, Inc. believes in the "People Concept"... The people we serve at GCS pay our salaries. If it weren't for our program participants, we wouldn't have a job! That concepts drives us toward continuous program improvement and growth. |
| Greene County Skills, Inc. (GCS) is a private, non-profit service agency - established on October 1,1973 in Greeneville, Tennessee. The agency is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors from the community. We have shown a long-standing record of commitment to the needs of citizens with disabilities in our community. GCS was initially started by a group of parents concerned about their children with disabilities being home without activities or alone while they were at work. Together, they opened a small Day Center which today, now serves over 130 individuals through a large variety of services: |
| In 2002, GCS, Inc. purchased property in the heart of Greeneville (formerly Lowe's of Greeneville) and renovations began thanks to the success of a business venture with a local industry.
